Peer Review Policy

The JAAF (Journal of Applied Accounting and Finance) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of peer review. The journal operates a double-blind peer review process, meaning that both the identities of the reviewers and the authors are kept anonymous to each other throughout the review process. This ensures an objective, unbiased, and fair evaluation of all submitted manuscripts.

Review Process:

• Initial Screening: All submissions are first screened by the editorial team for basic quality, language, and adherence to the journal's scope and formatting guidelines.

• Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the initial screening are sent to at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field of Accounting and Finance.

• Duration: The review process typically takes between 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the availability of the reviewers.

• Review Criteria: Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, contribution to knowledge, methodological rigor, and clarity of presentation.

Reviewer Responsibilities:

• Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, objective, and timely feedback.

• Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest regarding the manuscript or the authors.

• Reviewers must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents.

Editorial Decisions:
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

• Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication as is, or with minor revisions.

• Minor Revision: The manuscript requires small changes that do not alter the core content.

• Major Revision: The manuscript requires substantial changes, and the authors are invited to resubmit a revised version.

• Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in the journal.
