PERTARUNGAN WACANA ISLAM NUSANTARA DI MEDIA ONLINE

Abstract

Term Islam Nusantara has given rise to the pros and cons among Moslem in Indonesia. The opposition considered that Islam Nusantara blamed Islam as a trigger of radicalism, intolerant and the act of violence. They also considered that term Islam Nusantara resulted in a narrowing of the scope of Islam that should be mercy for the entire universe (Rahmah Lilalamin). For them, the term Islam Nusantara has divided the Islamists and caused the divisions. But, do they opinions is correct? To Answer the Question, researchers did the critical analysis discourse about Islam nusantara in online media after. This research aimed to find the meaning of Islam Nusantara that intented by Nahdatul Ulama Organization as the initiator of the term and Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Sumbar as the opposition. Was used in this research, Critical Discourse Analysis Teun A. Van Dijk Model. The model see the language related to power, ideology, and political. Researchers used analysis of the structure macro, super structure, and structure micro to uncover the construction of Islam Nusantara discourse.
