Welcome to the 7th International Conference on Family Business and Entrepreneurship (ICFBE) 2023! This esteemed conference is dedicated to exploring resilience and innovation in family businesses and SMEs. In Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, we bring together leading experts, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to exchange knowledge and insights.

Over the years, ICFBE has featured participants and speakers from more than 10 different countries, and participated by keynote speakers from top universities in the world like the University of Glasgow, University of Gloucestershire, Monash University, Deakin University, University of Hawaii, and others. ICFBE 2023 provides a platform for in-depth discussions, networking opportunities, and valuable collaborations. Our goal is to foster an environment where participants can share their research findings, explore emerging trends, and discuss the challenges and opportunities faced by family businesses and SMEs today.

At ICFBE, we believe that resilience and innovation are key factors in driving the success of family businesses and SMEs. By addressing these important themes, we aim to inspire and empower our participants to embrace change, adapt to evolving market dynamics, and capitalize on new opportunities.

The Faculty of Business, President University, in partnership with Triatma Mulya University, has hosted this conference with the theme "Back in Business." This theme is considered significant for businesses because 2022 is when business is expected to return to normal, while the Indonesian government also aims for a 5.5 percent economic growth rate. The 6th ICFBE aims to bring together academics, business people, and government officials to find solutions to problems that family business enterprises and entrepreneurs are facing and will face in the retail, wealth management, hospitality and tourism, and digital industries, small, medium, and large scale. Participants shared fresh ideas and experiences, created commercial or research relationships, and located global partners for future collaboration at this conference.

The 5th International Conference on Family Business and Entrepreneurship (ICFBE 2021) in the COVID-19 pandemic is held hybrid, online and offline. This conference was organized by the Faculty of Business, President University, in collaboration with Universitas Dhyana Pura and Indonesia Strategic Management Society. The theme of this conference is “On the Path to Recovery: Leadership, Resilience, and Creativity”. This theme is seen as important for businesses to survive and continue to maintain their competitive position by developing resilience and innovation. The objective of the ICFBE 2021 is to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, and business practitioners as well as industrial professionals to present their research and development activities in Business and Management. This conference provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and experiences, establish business or research relations, and find global partners for future collaboration.
