Open Access Policy
1. Immediate and Free Access
Published articles are freely available online immediately upon publication, without an embargo period. Readers and their institutions are not required to pay subscription fees or individual article access charges. Registration is not required to read or download published articles.
The journal supports the open-access principles expressed in the Budapest Open Access Initiative. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of articles, and use them for indexing, text and data mining, and other lawful purposes, subject to the applicable article license.
Access at a glance: Immediate availability, no subscription, no reader access fee, and no embargo on published articles.
2. Copyright, Licensing, and Reuse
Authors retain copyright in their articles. The journal’s standard publication license is the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). Consult the license statement accompanying each article, particularly for previously published content.
This license permits copying, redistribution, and adaptation, including commercial reuse, without requesting separate permission, provided its conditions are met:
Attribution: Credit the authors, retain applicable notices, provide links to the source and license, and indicate any changes. Do not imply endorsement by the authors or journal.
ShareAlike: Distribute adaptations under the same license or a license recognized as compatible with CC BY-SA 4.0.
No additional restrictions: Do not impose legal or technological restrictions that prevent others from exercising the permissions granted by the license.
Third-party material identified as excluded from the article’s license may require separate permission. Privacy and other rights may also affect reuse. The applicable license terms govern permitted use; this policy does not replace them.
Further information is available in the Copyright and Licensing Policy.
3. Sharing and Repository Deposit
Authors and readers may share and deposit the published version of an article in institutional or subject repositories, personal websites, and other platforms in accordance with its license, without an embargo.
Deposited copies should retain the article’s authorship, publication details, and license information. Include the DOI or a link to the journal’s article page so that readers can locate the version of record and any subsequent correction or retraction notice.
4. Reader Access and Author Fees
Open access means that readers can access published articles without payment. The journal’s publication charges and any optional service charges are described separately in the Author Fees Policy. Authors should review that policy before submission.
Author fees do not create a paywall for readers or purchase an acceptance decision. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, relevance, research integrity, and the journal’s Peer Review Process.
Readers experiencing difficulty accessing an article or seeking clarification about this policy may contact the Editorial Office.
