Author Guidelines

Manuscripts that do not adhere to the guidelines will be rejected

  • The title, theme and content of manuscripts should provide a forum for inquiries on media and mass communication.
  • Manuscripts should not be less than 5000 words and not more than 8000 words (excluding abstract and references). Manuscripts that do not adhere to this will not be considered for review. Each manuscript must have an abstract (between 200-250 words) and 5 key words. Manuscripts in Indonesian language must have an abstract in English with similar abstract content.
  • Authors are required to upload the manuscript in word.docx.
  • To facilitate the blind review process, please ensure that the authors’ names do not appear anywhere in the manuscript or in the filename. Authors’ names, designations and institutional addresses should be in a separate file.
  • Authors are to check manuscripts for accuracy of language before submitting to the journal. The Editorial Board will not edit submitted manuscripts for style or language.
  • Manuscripts submitted to Expose: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere, either in electronic or printed form. The corresponding author should declare this when submitting the paper to the Chief Editor.
  • Expose: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi retains the right to electronically distribute accepted manuscripts but the authors will retain copyright. If authors wish to republish the article, they must write to the Chief Editor and acknowledge Expose: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi as the original publisher.
  • Authors are expected to carefully proofread their work before submission.
  • The Editorial Board reserves the right to make editorial changes to any manuscript accepted for publication to enhance clarity and style. Endnote and footnote are not encouraged.
  • Manuscripts that do not adhere to any of the Author Guidelines will not be considered for review.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format.
  3. The submission file has been prepared using the current template.
  4. All metadata have been submitted properly.
