Abstract

Human Resource Management (HRM) is a field dedicated to managing an organization's workforce to align with the strategic objectives of the company. In light of the digital era and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digitalization has emerged as a transformative force across various sectors, including HRM. Understanding the implications of digital transformation on HRM is essential for improving organizational performance. This article reviews pertinent literature related to the central issue at hand. The findings illustrate how digital transformation within HRM enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of human resource processes, particularly in the areas of recruitment, selection, orientation, training, and development. Furthermore, technology fosters employee engagement through self-service portals and communication platforms, which facilitate improved collaboration and interaction, thereby enhancing employee productivity. Digital engagement platforms also contribute to better internal communication, employee satisfaction, and retention by refining interaction and feedback mechanisms. However, the advent of digitalization brings challenges, including concerns related to data security and privacy, as well as the necessity for HR professionals to adapt continuously to evolving technologies. Consequently, organizations must recognize the potential for both success and failure in their digital strategies, particularly concerning HRM practices. This awareness is critical for ensuring enhanced efficiency and competitiveness in the digital landscape.
