Business Feasibility Analysis: The Wanderlust&Co Summer Fashion Store

Salsabila Salsabila, Sonny Sonny

Abstract

Clothing is considered a fundamental necessity that must be fulfilled. Beyond providing protection from the sun, for young people, clothing serves as a means of self-expression. Currently, one of the sectors attracting significant interest from young women is the summer fashion industry. Consequently, an analysis is necessary to assess the feasibility of such a business in the fashion sector, to determine its potential for long-term sustainability. This business plan proposes the brand name Wanderlust&Co, reflecting a line of clothing that stays aligned with trends, adapts to evolving circumstances, and embodies the export of creative ideas. To evaluate the marketing and financial scope of this venture, both qualitative and quantitative analyses were employed. Porter's Five Forces and SWOT analyses were utilized to explore the marketing landscape, while profitability ratio analysis, payback period (PP), net present value (NPV), and other financial aspects were applied for a five-year forecast. The marketing analysis reveals that the price offered is relatively lower than that of competitors, with the brand committed to supporting the reduction of plastic usage through its packaging system. From a financial perspective, the business shows a positive Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp. 762,872,630 (NPV > 0) and a payback period of approximately 3 years and 3 months. The results of both financial and marketing analyses indicate that Wanderlust&Co presents a viable and sustainable business opportunity, with the potential for successful operation in the summer fashion market.
